I'm no expert, but you can go into the language menu in the review group of
the ribbon, which you can also get to directly by hitting alt and then r and
then u. Up arrow to language preferences and then up arrow again to
proofing. Here you can turn on grammar checking with spell checking and also
click on settings to configure exactly what you check for with the grammar
checking. I'm sure there are other ways to do what you want, and hopefully
others will weigh in with their suggestions.
