Madison,

You can set the language for your computer in the main system settings.
Where and how you do this has changed recently, so your best bet is to
type "language" in the Windows search box. What you're trying to find
used to be in the Control Panel near the time settings.

Generally speaking, there are three sets of language options though,
depending on your version of Windows 10, they may not be grouped this
way). One set of options is for text input (i.e., keyboard layout and
dictation). Another is for the display language (i.e., the language of
the menus and screen reader). The third (and the one you want) is for
proofing (i.e., spell checking). This used to be in Language
Preferences. I'm running 2004, and I haven't explored settings enough to
feel comfortable telling you which option will do the trick.

I think that, in Word 2013, you can get to Language Proofing by going
into the area where spell check and the thesaurus are. I think this is
called the Review tab, but I'm not sure. Anyway, this tab has two
language options. One of them includes an option called Preferences, and
that is where you set the proofing language. You need to highlight the
entire document (ctrl+a) before changing the proofing language to
English Canadian.

I use Outlook, but I'm not very advanced with it. In theory, you should
be able to get to the same Language Preference dialog from Outlook
because they're both Office apps, but I don't know if that's true.

Sorry to not be very helpful.

Ciao
