My guess is that the function keys are still set to the multimedia keys 
in the BIOS and F4 is configured to bring up your home page. Try using 
the function key in conjunction with alt and F4 to see if this closes 
your application. You can also check the BIOS to see if your function 
keys are set to multimedia keys or not.
