Try the same steps you're doing, but when you get to the attachment bar,
arrow left or right to find the attachment you want to detach and hit
alt+down-arrow. This will open up the list of actions you're looking for
which will include open, copy and so on.
Also, while you're in your in box or any folder or view, when you're on
the message with the attachment, you can use alt+f to get into the file
down and then press enter on the save all attachments. You'll then be
asked where you want to save the attachments. This is good when you
can't find the attachments in the message itself, but it does take a few
more steps before you're in the attachment itself.
