I've had the Echo Dot for six months, and Fire TV with Alexa for a
month. I am totally hooked. I use Alexa to shop on Amazon, I use Alexa
to read aloud books from Kindle. I use Alexa to do deep music research.
I use the news brief feature to stay up to date. I use the Bartender
skill to mix drinks, and the cooking skill to find recipes. I even let
Alexa tell me a joke once in a while though they are really corney. I
love the ambient sounds skill of a thunderstorm to relax by. With the
Fire TV Alexa is great at finding movies and TV shows very quickly. I
also use Alexa to access Sero content, my local radio reading service,
and I plan to activate XM Radio through Alexa next. I host a forum on
Alexa but it is on Sero which is subscription only. If you are on Sero,
look it up in the forums sections.
