Hi all,
thanks to my computer guy, Rick, he finds things nobody can find, it's
amazing what he digs up!
Here's how to turn off mail compacting, and oh does it make a difference!
I've got my Thunderbird back, with no speech going away!
see below
Harry
how to turn off compacting in thunderbird
1. go to preferences.
2. go to the heading that says general.
3. go to the heading that says network and disk space.
4. tab down tothe checkbox that says compact all folders when it will
save over 200 mb in disk space.
5, uncheck the box.
and now you won't have Thunderbird automatically compacting folders!
