Hmm, maybe I'm not sure what you're asking then, but since this toggle controls both saving and auto filling your personal information, I'd think it would be what you're looking for. There's another privacy setting for passwords.

I also just don't want to be forced to navigate to that content whenever there's a password change and/or anything else Edge wants to store.
Hopefully I'll find it as I didn't before.

Thanks for the tip.

Go into Settings -> Profiles -> Personal Info. Save and fill personal info is the first toggle.

Subject: [VICUG-L] Getting rid of Microsoft's intrusive forced navigation to it's settings, etc

Hello Everyone,

I can generally press F6 to navigate away from Microsoft Edge's intrusive forced navigation to its Settings, etc however, I am having issues where it wants to auto-fill information that isn't even mine because I used a friend's contact information as a personal reference on a form.

This is really annoying and I am surprised that Microsoft considers this to be acceptable as it's a sure way for personally identifiable information to be disclosed in the wrong place.

Now what is most annoying is this auto-fill of forms with information which isn't even mine and I hadn't acknowledged for it to be used.

I recall awhile back, someone posted some information as to how to prevent Microsoft edge from storing information if one doesn't desire it as well as not forcing one to to navigate to their settings, etc.

I have tried to look through settings and anything I could pulldown but these settings are evading me.

Please share as although I save a lot of email in a folder for this list, I can't, for the life of me, find that email.

Thank you so very much in advance!

Amanda Lee
