Go ahead and purchase a Mac Harry if you are able/willing to pay nearly double the price.  Don't forget that Voiceover isn't actually free if all the computers that have it built-in are significantly higher priced.  I bet that most stores will send you home with a PC that has NVDA installed for you, or at least you can request that service before taking the unit home.
