There obviously is a reason why we were told and are still being told not
to feed solid food to our babies before 6mos.  Some doctors would even
prefer 1 yr.  And then you start carefully with rice cereal, then
introduce other foods slowly.  Sort of like an elimination diet; it might
reduce an early allergy or intolerance problem.  I think this theory is
being discussed once again
