I too have a lot of uses for our Echo Dots; but not as many as 
Bill has mentioned.
One that I particularly value is being able to link a Sirius-xm account to 
it; another is with Amazon's Music unlimited.
Looking at the article Bill posted, $10 bil in projected losses for $ 2022 
for the devices division, make me wonder how long the Echo devices may be 
around or if Amazon would be delighted to drop them off on some other 
company.
And, without Amazon or someone else supporting the network, the Echo would 
become an expensive paperweight.

As for Steve's question, Show and Tell gets mixed reviews on a couple of 
Echo lists I'm   on.  

I own a bunch of Dots and never considered anything from the Show Series.
