if these people live in the same house, there may be an issue with the 
houses electrical system.
many houses have problems caused by bad electrical grounding.
if you feel a slight vibration in something like a metal lamp there may be 
an issue.
a mac computer comes with two power cord options.
if you use the simple one and can feel a slight tingling when you touch 
the case then you would switch to the bigger wire.
