Hi folks,
I have a P100 machine in my organization running Win 95 on a Windows
network with a Iomega Ditto tape drive, 2gb, attached. The backup
program is set up to only back up the c: drive of the local machine.
Until Thursday of last week, it was working smoothly. When the user
came in, she got the following error message: "An unrecoverable
error occurred accessing the drive or cartridge. The remote drive is
busy."
I didn't install this drive, nor do I have any documentation for it.
I've checked the connections, put a different tape in, tried to start
the backup manually, but keep getting the same error message.
The device manager reports the drive is working properly - no
yellow exclamation points.
Does this seem like there really is a problem with the drive or is
there something else I should look for?
Thanks for any assistance.
Holli
