Albert, to add a little bit to Anna's post, which was excellent, the
aftershocks are extremely light weight if you get the better models.
You can wear them for hours. The part that carries the sound sits just
in front of your ear, leaving your ear uncovered completely. I have had
no trouble with the microphones, and find them really handy for
chatting on the phone while still being active moving around the house,
or even taking a walk. If you are a music audio file, they are not as
good reproducing music as some other types unless you block your ears
with ear plugs. But, if you are just listening casually to music, or a
book, or a phone call, they are terrific. I highly recommend them. On
my pair, the battery lasts for a couple of days in standby, and in
active use about five hours. They charge up very fast.
Mine are Treks Air form Aftershocks. the MSRP is about $149, but you
can find occasional sales and get them for as low as $99.
