You have a good business mind. I don't recognize the acquirer, but, based
on what you say, this *should* effectively allow for the elimination of
competition and will bring the incentive for development to a more or less
standstill.
The reason screen readers have become as good as they are -- and they
still have a lot of shortcomings -- is the c-word, competition.
And it's competition in development, pricing, customer service, and all
the rest.
