Hi Phil and Everyone,
We are about 108 miles from Sioux Falls.
Now, Phil, I know that you would love to come down and drive us to
the Hotel which is better than driving us on Friday morning at 4 AM.
to the hospital
We will go down to Sioux Falls the day before. The same couple is
driving us down in our truck. Calvin loves driving our truck, but
actually Vernon will drive down, and Calvin and Veronica and their
sun, Nick will all go down with us.
I don't think we'll have room for Betty. Vernon told me that we can
not fit three in the front seat. lol.
We can definitely fit three in the back, then all our stuff will have
to be put in the bed of the truck. We'll have my laptop with us.
Vernon will put that under the back seat. It's huge and I'm praying
that God will provide a smaller one for me some day.
I'm waiting for Windows Ten to come out, and then I'll seriously look
for another laptop/tablet.
I think Vernon is really tired.
This whole thing was a real shock to us.
Then the motel charged us for 2 beds instead of one, like she promised me.
I'll get that straightened out tomorrow when Sonya is working at the
Valley Inn motel in Sioux Falls.
It's a nice place, and I really like their excellent service and they
are so nice to us.
When I made the reservations again, I asked for the same room 103
again. It's right near the place where they serve the continental breakfast.
Security will take us from the hotel to the hospital.
Yesterday the police officer who is also a security guard at the
hospital couldn't believe that the hospital gave us a little gass
card of $25.00 that has to be used at a certain gass station. For all
the inconvenience they caused us.
He said that They should pay our one night's motel bill and the gass
to and from our place and lunch, too. lol. I don't want much, do I. <grin> lol.
When I called our friends that were going to come and visit me while
Vernon was going to be in surgery. I new they were in Sioux Falls, so
I asked them if we could ride home with them, and they also couldn't
believe what happened. They picked us up at about 12:45 at the hotel,
and then we took them to McDonalds for lunch and Vernon drove their
van. Then on the way home, I red from Psalms. I red aloud Psalm 33
and Psalm 91.
I hear this kind of stuff happens all the time with equipment
breaking down at hospitals. They don't keep things up.
