Thanks Bill.  I learned after sending this question to the list that the
fellow I'm working with is using the Gmail webmail, which always leaves his
curser at the bottom of the message to which he is replying.  I think the
only thing to be done is to ensure that he re-position his curser before
typing the reply.  I don't know of any way to change the settings on Gmail's
webmail server to have the curser land at the top, is there?
