Hi All,
I'm temporarily using my laptop to send and receive email. On my
desktop, I've created some filters/rules in Thunderbird so that messages
from high-traffic discussion lists go into special subfolders. I'm
trying to create the same filters/rules on my lapttop, but I'm having
trouble finding the subfolders during rule creation.
Here's what's going on: 2
My Lot.of.yada account is where I receive list mail. In that folder,
I've created subfolders for each of my high-traffic lists:
Android-Accesible, Eyes-Free, and Stitchers.
While in the Lot.of.yada folder, I go into Tools > Filters > New. I name
the rule. then I tab to the area where you set up the "if" part of the
rule: To or CC contains list address. The next step is to tab to the
"then" part of the rule. In this case, I find Move To. Up to this point,
everything is fine.
The problem is when I tab past Move To. The next item is Choose Folder,
When I down-arrow from there, I only find my account folders. I don't
find the subfolders I created. I've tried closing Thunderbird,
restarting the computer, and using the applications key, but the
subfolders don't appear in the list. I've also tried creating the rule
from within the subfolders, but no new options appear.
I'm stumped because I don't remember doing anything special when I
created these rules on previous computers.
Does anyone have any ideas about how I find my subfolders when creating
a rule?
Ciao
