On behalf of African Association of Madison (AAM), Board of Directors and its Festival Planning & Implementation Committee, I thank all AAM Members and Friends of Africa for the wonderful job of participation and volunteerism in many categories at the recently concluded Africa Fest 2017.
 
As a non-profit organization, particpation by volunteerism is our strength.  Our plight was to educate and showcase the African traditions and culture to the Madison community and environs, we did just that and more!  We pulled all our resources together for a show of strength in our attendance margin.  For this, I thank you all.   
 
We must also continue to encourage all Africans and Friends of Africa to become AAM members and participate in AAM programs.  This will ensure we become an even stronger organization.  
 
Although Africa Fest 2017 has come and gone, it will be written and remembered as a success, thanks in part to members such as you who served when they were called upon and still volunteered time for other services.  An evaluation of our Africa Fest 2017 will begin in due course; we are hopeful you will be very responsive.

Again, I thank you all for flying that flag that personifies the positive African image. Your relentless and warm attitude brought about the excellence that was achieved in Africa Fest 2017.
