Hi folks,

On Eyes on success 1801, Pete and Nancy talkked with Jamie Teh, and he
said, "one of the things I'm doing at Mozilla, and will continue to do
for the next 2 years or so, is, make Firefox and screen readers work so
web pages load much, much faster!

What we have done with screen readers is used the same method for 20
years now. Web pages must load much faster with all screen readers, and
I'm going to work to make that happen!"

That, is, exciting, because we all know how slow they are. I know
sighted people that use Google Chrome, for example, and they don't use
any screen reader, and I have timed web page loading, and I'm talking
about pages with lots of graphics on them, and they load in 1 to 2
seconds, and screen readers cannot touch that web page loading speed,
because the web page has to get into the virtual buffer of the screen
reader, so if Jamie is working on that, all I can say is, go get um!

Harry
