If Mr. Market's solution for some reason doesn't work (I haven't tried it) or you would prefer to open the document you've already got on your computer without having to create another copy through the "save as" menu, then follow these steps.

1) open the document.

2) Press the alt key once.

3) Press the down arrow key once.

4) Press the right arrow key once.

5) Press the down arrow key once.

6) Press the enter key.

7) Press ctrl+s to save the now-fillable document with its current name.

Now you can begin filling out the form.
