Hi, Harry,. I am probably 50/50. I have several programs pinned to my taskbar and use the built-in hot keys to start them. But, many times, I will use the text box.

Subject: [VICUG-L] using hot keys, or typing in the windows text box to open programs?

Hi all,

I'm someone who has used hot keys to open programs, up till now.

But windows has had the text box, for sometime now, so, I thought about

just typing in the search box for a program, then press enter to start

the program, (these days, also called an app).

So, I'm conducting a poll.

What do you all do these days? Do you:

1. still use a hot key to start programs?

2. Do you type the name of the program in the windows search box, then

press enter to start it?

Harry
