Hi Tom,

Was that ever fun, but I fixed it. Scanpst.exe was at c:\program files (x86)\microsoft office\office 12, quite close to what you suggested. I am running Outlook 2007 32 bit version on a 64 bit Windows computer. Finding the .pst file was even more fun. Thanks for your help.

Diane

Hi Diane,
The scanpst.exe file is rather hard to find, as it's buried in the Microsoft Office hierarchy of folders, so you'll need to drill down a bit. On this machine I'm running Office 2010 and the path to the file is

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office14\SCANPST.EXE"

So, go to your c: drive and locate the program files folder and open it.
Next, look for the microsoft office folder and open that one.
Since you're running Office 2007, I suspect that you'll want to look for a folder called office11, office12 or office13. Whatever the case, open the one that you find.
Scanpst.exe should be in there.

Hope this helps. Let us know how it goes.
Best regards,
Tom
