Have you gone back to the MS web site and tried to redownload the setup
file? Also, have you applied updates from MS update recently?

With common sense, such as not clicking on strange links or detaching
and running unrecognized files, along with making sure you've got all
the necessary updates for Windows and applications like email, browser
and so on, you're not actually a sitting duck for malware. I'd get this
issue resolved as soon as you can, but I wouldn't be paralyzed with fear
either. Common sense is by far your best weapon against malware and
there's no antivirus software in the world that can keep someone from
getting infected if they aren't paying attention to what they're doing.
