Thanks, David, that did the trick. However, it was actually the enhanced 
voice that was selected and didn't sound right. I switched back to the 
default voice and it sounds fine. Curious. I'll play with it some more 
and see if the enhanced voice eventually sounds better as the phone may 
still have been in the process of downloading it.

Unfortunately, VO often drops the enhanced voice upon upgrade. Sometimes, the enhanced voice is already there. In this case change to the default voice by double-tapping it.
