Harry,

I'm not having the problems you describe with Jaws 17 and Word. I was 
able to save in Word 2013 and am able to save in Word 2016. I'm using 
Windows 10.

Maybe something got corrupt somewhere, and you need to reinstall Jaws or 
Office.

Not sure what to suggest.
