Hi!

Normally, I'd leave it open, but sometimes when listening only to an
exceptionally strong signal, I might drop it back a little to reduce the
surrounding noise, but to each his own.

When wouldn't someone want the RF gain all the way up?
I usually just leave it turned on full.
