Does anyone know of brand name analgesics that are
gluten-free? For instance ibuprophen, asprin, tylenol-type
analgesics.
Tylenol products are gluten-free. I believe Bayer products are as
well.
Has anyone found a gluten-free worcestershire sauce?
I think Dietary Specialties sells one.
I understand Walnut Acres makes a GF mayonaise. Does anyone
know where I can find this? Are there other brands of
mayonaise that are GF?
I oredered WA mayonaisse after being told by the GIG
(Gluten-intolerance Group) that it was gluten-free. When it arrived, I
was upset to discover that what is listed as "pepper" in the
catalog is *white* pepper, which is sometimes sprinkled with
flour. (Bette Hagman makes a similar error in her latest cookbook,
incidentally.) I wrote to GIG about this and never heard from them,
which is why I never joined their organization.
Trader Joes Mayonaisse is the only mayo I have found which is
absolutely known to be gluten-free. But I will post the Walnut Acres
phone number next time I get one of their catalogs, if anyone wants to
investigate. Personally, I find their products overpriced and I have
had bad reactions to some of it, but for anyone not lucky enough to
live near a Trader Joes, they might be worthwhile.
