I know I am jumping into the thread late and so the program I used in the
past may have already been discussed but psredit500 seems to work ok.

Hi Eric.
The two places I would look for software are www.bctool.org and
www.scannow.org.
Neither program is particularly accessible for doing programming by hand but
they support readio reference so a 6 month subscription to radio reference
is a small price to pay and well worht it.
