Scott, have had&used all3 706models, with the ut102,&especially the millennium QSYER all3 are pretty blind friendly! The stock mic audio may be a little low, and replacement finals r somewhat scarce, The handiham.org manuals and Eham.net reviews site categories can be of help, as can several on the two blind ham lists who've had one or more 706s. Depending on price&condxn? It's definitely worth considering.
