Hey everyone, I've been on this list for some time, and have finally
gotten my basic with honours amateur radio qualification and callsign.
I'm currently using a BaoFeng UV82, and its great for hitting a few
local repeaters, but I want to branch out, to start with, use DStar,
and find a way to hit IRLP repeaters that are unreachable by my
handheld. Has anyone had success with using any of the DStar radios on
the market? Also, can anyone suggest a cheep and easy way for me to
get a more stationary antenna I can hook up to my handheld for use at
home to reach further out than the Nogoya rubber duck I'm using now?
