After you are in the choose dialog, click on the browse button (control-b)  and you should be able to choose word from there.

Hi all,
Using windows 7, and jaws 12, on an asus laptop.
Here's the problem. I find a file, I want to read. Then, I clicked on open with, but there's only 2 programs listed there.
1. note pad
2. word pad.
I want it to open with microsoft word. So, I press c to let me see more programs. Then, I only find the same 2 programs, but it's not letting me find word.
I don't want to use word pad or note pad, for the .txt files, or, for .rtf files.
Someone walk me through, will you? On how to fix this?
