I have been told that I almost died, as a baby (1947) because I could not tolerate milk. I don't know in how many or what forms. The obvious would mother's and fro cows.

The doctors were no help. Then a nurse suggested mixing in the juice from stinging nettles. So, my mother wore rubber gloves to pick the nettles and pound them to get juice. It worked, obviously.

I can drink milk now but have never been a fan of it. I recall at age 13 making a hot chocolate with milk instead of water and getting a minor stomach ache.
