                             Real-Eyes Minutes
                                  1-13-98
Kansas City, MO

The Real-Eyes computer group met at 5:30 p.m. in the conference
room at the Center for Blindness and Low Vision. Attending were:
Paul Mimms, Ed Reyes, Pat Reyes, Ruby Polk, karen Michael, Tony
Michael, Patrick Fischer, Chip Bloch, Ron Jorgensen, Dee Freeman,
Ted Sparks, Bryan Watt, and Ben Blagg. Paul asked the group if
we wanted to continue collecting dues for 1998. Everyone seemed
to be in favor of coninuing the dues. There was a discussion
regarding the newsletter, and/or changing it to meet the needs of
the group. Perhaps there would not be a standard newsletter, but
pertinent articles from time to time for informational purposes
or teaching.

Other items for discussion: the grand opening of Missing link's
new location at 7852 Quivera from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday
January 17; Rusty Smith has a broken arm and a cold, but she
says she will be back soon; Pat Fischer, F1-Key, has a new web
page, www.soundnsight.com. Pat says the web page is going to be
something that is informative and user friendly. He says there
will be information everyone can use. It is blank at the present
time, but will soon be up and running. Other discussion centered
on software, screen readers, and internet providers.

The next meeting will be January 27, and probably at CBLV. The
meeting adjourned at 6:55.

                          Respectfully Submitted:
                    Ben Blagg, Recording Secretary
