Terri, could it be because the Shake to Undo is still on, or is the Screen Lock key being pressed while it's in your purse? If it's the later, you may want to find a good case for the device.

Subject: [VICUG-L] My iPhone 8 Plus won’t stop talking in my purse when I am walking around
Hello list members,
I have an iPhone 8 8+ and I can’t stop it from talking all the time in my purse when I walk here or there or if I set my purse down. I’ve been looking around in the settings and cannot figure out how to stop this. Is there a option to set the screen to only be activated with the press of the home button? Or a specific gesture? And otherwise it’s not activated? My iPhone 6 did not do this at all, but that is probably because it was in a wallet style case. Thoughts suggestions?
Thank you
Terri
