Hi All,


My question is about using Disk Clean-Up to remove system files. I've 
done it before, but it doesn't seem to be working now, so I'm wondering 
if there's something I'm missing.


I'm trying to update my netbook to Windows 10 Creators. The Windows 
Update Assistant tells me I don't have enough free space, so I've 
uninstalled all but Adobe, Firefox, and Office. I have freed up 3 GB of 
space, but I need to have 8 GB of free space in total.


With previous computers, I've been where I am now. I've run Disk 
Clean-Up to remove temporary files, etc. Then I've run it again, this 
time pressing enter on a button that says System File Clean-Up. At that 
point, the scan takes a long time, but lots of space is freed up, 6 or 7 GB.


However, what's happening on my Windows Anniversary netbook is this: 
when I run System File Clean-Up, the scan takes a longish time, but the 
same list of temporary files as with regular Disk Clean-Up comes up, and 
only a very small amount of disk space is freed. I've also used ctrl+tab 
to go from the Disk Clean-Up page to the Optimization page, but pressing 
enter on the option to remove shadow versions of Windows and confirming 
doesn't seem to do anything either.


I'm wondering if there's a dialog I'm somehow missing or if things need 
to be done in a specific order.


Any thoughts?
