Good evening Ana and Christopher,
Here's what happened When I called Verizon's tech support yesterday, too
ask about my download and upload speeds. When they ran the test on my land
line, they found that my speeds were not quite what they should be. They
adjusted it for about 2 point 98, and then suggested that I might need a
new modem and said that, that could be why I'm not getting the speeds that I
should be receiving. They also said, that it might be because I liv about
6000 feet from the Verizon central office. When I downloaded a book from the
Vard website on my computer, It did seem too download faster then before
which took about a little over five minutes. I haven't as yet, downloaded a
book from the Bard web site on my stream. I'll let you all know if it goes
faster when I download a book to the stream. Thanks for your help in
trying, to answer my problem, It is very appreciated.

Albert,
Based on the message footer, you also sent your question to the Victor
Stream list. Are you experiencing slow speeds when downloading to the
Stream or to the computer?
when I download audio books using my computer, I only have to wait a few
minutes for the complete download. The couple of times I've downloaded
books on the Stream, I had to wait 20 or 30 minutes. That was during the
first two months of buying the Stream so I haven't tried it since.
I don't know the answer to your question. I'm just wondering if we have
al the information we need to help.
Ciao
