Harry:
The issue here is not a Windows 10 issue but a JAWS one. To solve it, you need to make sure that the "Enhanced Edit Support" feature (it's under Word Processing) is checked for Default (all applications). The easiest way I've found to do this is:

1) Press Insert+6 (the 6 on the main keyboard) to enter the JAWS settings menu.

2) Press Shift+Tab once to where JAWS says "Application" then press the "Home" key. This will place JAWS on the "Default (All Applications).

3) Tab twice to the menu of JAWS settings. Use the down arrow key until you find "Word Processing" (it's the fourth one down).

4) Press the right arrow key once to open this menu's submenu, then arrow down once to General and press the right arrow to open this submenu's sub-submenu.

5) Use the down arrow key to find "Enhanced Edit Support". Once you have it highlighted, press the spacebar to check it.

6) Tab four times until you reach "Apply" and then press the spacebar. Then tab (or Shift+Tab) to where JAWS says "Ok" and press the spacebar.

Once that is done, go back to the search edit box and try typing the search again. This time, you should see the word as you type it.

Every story has at least two sides if not more.

Hi all,
I'm using jaws 17.0.1214, on a windows 10 desktop.
Here's the problem.
You know how in windows 7 It says "

In the windows search box, type the word blind

It should say optomize for blindness, and press enter on that. Then, tab
down to turn off any unnecessary annimations, and if it is not checked,
it should be checked. Then, click on apply, then click ok, and then,
click on ok.
Can I do that in Windows 10? If so? How? I tried to type blind in the
search box, and there's nothing there.
Harry
