I use a Bluetooth keyboard whenever I have serious work to do on my
laptop. It bypasses all the Fn key crap and also makes the regular
function keys work properly. I find I've gotten used to the Acer reduced
keyboard I have, and can use it okay, but for serious work, a Bluetooth
keyboard is the way to go. In my case, it just involved plugging in the
Bluetooth keyboard transmitter to a usb port and my computer immediately
recognized it and surrendered to the new control. The acer keyboard not
only has the FN key, but it actually has no function keys. You use the
number row with the FN key to get a function key press. They also have
removed the right control key, and the right windows key which can make
certain key press combinations really awkward.

I have the evil fn key on my Lenovo laptop.

It is evil and a major impediment to productivity.

I actually have a Bluetooth keyboard and I realized I should just use it.
I think the interface to connect is pretty accessible but that is without
trying it.

I should do the Bluetooth keyboard also for ergonomic reasons like getting
the screen up closer to what there is of my vision. I am tall and geta
stiff neck from looking down at laptop.

Anyway has anyone else tried a Bluetooth keyboard for this

Unfortunately I don't know of a way to get to the bios without sighted
assistance. I hope someone on here knows of a way.
