Ana,
Insert-Z is still the toggle to turn quick keys on and off in Word with
JAWS 17. When you notice quick keys being on, does it happen
consistently every time Word is opened or only on occasion after you
begin typing.
With NVDA, there were times when the keyboard would behave as though
sticky keys got turned on even though it really wasn't officially
enabled. This would become apparent when I would, as an example, press
the letter T and NVDA would act as if I pressed insert-T and would then
read the window title. I could usually stop this behavior by pressing a
modifier key, such as alt or control, and it only happened on a slower
machine and hardly occured using Windows 7 or later. I am wondering if
something similar might be happening with JAWS?
