It seems that almost all new pc speakers are usb and thats just not good
for the blind. I tried a set of them and when you turn onyour pc you
will hear power on. there will be no sound when your pc gets to the
desk top. When your pc is on the desk top you will have to unplug the
speakers and plug them in again and you will have sound. The problem
for us is that we will not know when our pcs are on the desk top if
there is no sound. If you need to enter a passward at the log on screen
you will not know when you are on the log in screen if there is no
sound. I just bought a set of speakers that plug in to the sound card
and this has solved my problem of no sound when starting my pc. I just
want to let everyone know that if you are concitering buying a set of
usb speakers think twice before you do so. I did like the sound of the
usb speakers and that fact they say power on and theyalso say the
percentage when you are adjusting the volume. This is the first set of
speakers that I had that talked.
