David,

AppleVis is a great resource for people who use Apple devices. If you're
new to the platform, you may also want to check out the National Braille
Press, which sells a few downloadable books on iOS, including getting
Started with iOS. Here is the iOS page:

I'm an Android user, but I have and can use an iOS device. What I
remember most about my experience of learning Apple isthat the number of
gestures was overwhelming. since I don't use the platform on a regular
basis, I have to relearn most Voiceover gestures each time I use an iOS
device. So you may want to buy or compile a list of gestures to avoid
getting bogged down in trying to remember which one you need for X
situation.

Good luck.

ciao
