Hi All,

I've read a blog post on the Perkins Mini, but I haven't been able to
find anything that appears to be a product description, not even on the
Perkins website. I'm hoping someone on list can point me to detailed
information on the product.

the Perkins Mini is a 16-cell braille display with basic note taker
functions. I'm especially interested in the note taker functions. If
anyone has experience with the device, please shhare. Here are my questions:

* can I write a document on the device, using contracted braille?

* can I edit the document on the device?

* can I transfer the document to my computer for additional editing in a
text format without needing to buy Duxbury?

I'm really interested. I have a Braille Note and like it, but I now only
use the book reader, file manager, and text editor. Everything else is
done on my smart phone. If the Perkins Mini lets me draft and edit
documents, even at a basic level, I think it would be a suitable
replacement.

Ciao
