Some websites offer an applications programming interface, or API, to
specific classes of users. These can be written in various ways. Some are
publicly available to anyone who wants to write a program to query them,
while others are restricted, like the API that devices use to contact NLS
BARD when they are not using its web pages. So I would guess that QRZ.COM
offers an API to some users. I don't know enough about the specific
programming languages that a piece of software would need to work with.

Subject: Extracting QRZ data
Does anyone know how logging programs obtain callsign data from qrz? I
presume that they use something other than just logging in and deciphering
the ascii text from the page.
