Hi all:

Friday night while working some DX on 7.153, a friend of mine KP2XX Jim
Latham stopped by for a chat and we ended up having an impromptu round
table consisting of vintage rigs. LOL
It was greate, Jim was on a TS-830, we had a TS-520 and a couple of guys
running modern gear with vintage Heathkit SB-201s. LOL Of course I was
running my FT-102. Gotta love when that happens and it could be a once a
month thing. We're calling it the vintage asileum but that might be very
offensive to some so not sure. When it was suggested we had a good laugh.
So if anyone got any vintage gear that they're using or wanna blow the dust
off it, I'll send out an edamil next month when I spearhead another round
table on 7153.
I know that vintage may constitute something 30 years or older but I think
its safe to include gear from the early to mid 90s now. Case in point the
Tentec Omni VI and earlier were very good rigs along with the Icom pros and
775 line. Even the pre-MFJ line of Ameritron amplifiers and Heath SB-1000s
I'd view as vintage.
