On some web sites for reasons I don't understand, an edit field can appear
blank even though it has recorded what you've typed. I've found I just don't
try to re-read what I've written and everything works fine.

not Improved Website

Hmm, I'm having the same issue others have described. The Greyhound website
has edit boxes for From and To. When I type into them, I hear the screen
reader speak what I have typed, but the edit boxes remain blank. I'm on
windows 10, and I tested both with Firefox and Chrome. In firefox, I used
Jaws 16 and NVDA 2015.4. In Chrome, I used ChromeVox.

I'm wondering if the key factor is the Windows version?
