Harry:
Are there other applications that would rip your videos? Other listers can probably provide such information.

Subject: [VICUG-L] cannot rip dvds in Windows 10
Hi all,
Using Jaws, and windows 10, 1903, on a desktop.
Remember how you could watch videos or rip videos using windows media
player in Windows 7?
Forget doing it in Windows 10, Microsoft no longer has ripping
capabilities for ripping videos in Windows Media player.
I have a whole bunch of videos on dvds that I want to rip.
VLC is horrible, for doing that, it doesn't tell you when it's done by
automatically opening the drive when it's done ripping.
Groove music only plays audio and not video, so you cannot rip with that.
I want to get these videos off the dvds, because discs, just like tapes,
can oxidize, over time, and the discs go bad, and then I won't have any
of those videos.
If I can rip them then I can copy them and paste them into my hard
drive, and, into my thumb drive.
Harry
