Subject: [UX-COP] UX/UI Designer / Front-end Developer Opening at
DOJ
Dear Colleagues,
Please see below and forward to any and all qualified candidates
for consideration. Thank you.
The U.S. Department of Justice’s Environment and Natural
Resources Division
(ENRD) <http://www.justice.gov/enrd/> is currently accepting
applications to fill its Information Technology Specialist
(Internet) position. The incumbent serves as an IT Specialist
(Internet) with primary responsibility as lead User Experience
(UX)/User Interface (UI) designer and front-end developer, Web
Content Manager for the evolution and maintenance of the
Division's Intranet and multiple DOJ domains, and the Division's
Accessibility Coordinator to ensure compliance with Section 508
of the Rehabilitation Act.
Here are the job postings:
(for federal
government employees)
(for the
general public – all U.S. citizens)
This position is located in the Office of Information Management
(OIM), Executive Office (EO), Environment and Natural Resources
Division (ENRD), U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ). OIM provides
support to ENRD management, attorneys, and support staff by
developing and maintaining complex management information
applications and websites critical to the mission of the
Division. OIM also produces a variety of statistical information
used in the management of the Division and responding to requests
from Congress, the public, and other stakeholders.
DOJ/ENRD has been ranked as the #1 Best Place to Work
<http://bestplacestowork.org/BPTW/index.php> in the Federal
Government (agency subcomponent category) three times, according
to the Partnership for Public Service
<https://ourpublicservice.org/> ; and the Division has
consistently been ranked as a top place to work based on OPM’s
comprehensive annual Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey
<https://www.fedview.opm.gov/> .
Why is ENRD #1? (And why has the Division won multiple other
awards, such as the Bar Association of the District of
Columbia’s prestigious Constance L. Belfiore Quality of Life
Award and the Department’s Community Service Award? And what
prompted a recent former Attorney General to express to ENRD,
“your dedication to the ideals of public service sets a
standard to which all government employees can aspire”?). Find
out for yourself.
The postings are open until January 18, 2017. Please forward to
any UX/UI Designers and Front-end Developers you know looking to
take the next step in their career.
