We are considering dropping our Comcast landline phone in favor of a
package offered by a provider which utilizes the Verizon cellphone
network.
Currently, on Comcast, if you dial *69 on your phone, you are told which
number called you last, when they made the called, and an option to return
the call by pressing 1.
The Verizon network also offers *69; but it doesn't identify the caller
and immediately does the callback.
What I am looking for is a phone that will tell me, on demand, who called
and ideally when.
Are there talking caller ID phones that retains such a history that would
allow me to check on numbers from which we may have received a call from,
after the fact?
Any info on talking caller ID phones, which are good and which should be
avoided, would be appreciated.

\Thanks!
