Hi Rachel,
Nope, it is a jaws issue, and it has been since word 2007.
Every time you press alt f4 to save, it crashes.
So, what you will have to do is, turn jaws off, and press windows key 
enter and Narrator will come on, then, you press alt f4 and you will be 
able to save your document.
