Mike,
I went whole hog and got the RS 60 CF dream edition.

There are several choices for microphones, in either dynamic or
condenser types. The cable has to be purchased separately, again with
a number of options for various radios. I think they will make up
something special if one of the stock cables doesn't match your needs.
Mine has the standard 8 pin round Kenwood mic plug. I do foot switch
PTT off the rear of the radio, so didn't need the 1/4 ptt like the Heil
has.
Cables plug into the headset with a locking mini din plug, so you can
replace a damaged cable, or change cable for a different radio.
The whole setup is pretty expensive, but I am happy with mine. Also the
cable is reinforced with Kevlar, so if you are caught in a gunfight,
maybe it will stop a bullet and save your life.
